Full Assembly
Some paintings are quiet conversations. This one invited everybody to the party.
Circles. Rectangles. Intersecting lines. Bold colors. And apparently, nobody wanted to sit in the background.
With Full Assembly, I found myself exploring just how many different geometric elements could occupy the same space without the entire composition falling apart.
A prominent blue circle provides an anchor, but everything around it seems determined to have its own moment.
That's part of what fascinates me about geometric abstraction.
You can begin with individual shapes that have absolutely nothing in common, arrange them in a particular way, and suddenly they begin forming relationships.
One shape supports another. A color creates tension. A black line establishes a boundary. Something that initially feels disconnected begins to make sense.
Full Assembly celebrates that moment when all the individual pieces finally become something greater than themselves.
It's a little crowded.
But somehow, everyone gets along.
