Park County offers plenty of fun and exciting things to do all year round, not just during ski season! Attend the Park County Fair, an authentically Western event where visitors can check out parades, participate in barn dances, attend a livestock auction, and enjoy live music performances. The whole family will have a blast at Burro Days, a fun-filled celebration that has been a Park County tradition for over seventy years! At Burro Days, visitors celebrate the role that the burro has played in the mining industry with a parade, live music, cowboy church, and plenty of entertainment for the kids.
 
If you’re in search of a great workout, check out the Silverheels 100. This 100-mile endurance run is truly an excellent way to work up a sweat! A community favorite, this run features an average elevation of 10,823’ – not to mention absolutely breathtaking views. The run will take you through abandoned mines, ghost towns, and Silverheels Mountain. There’s also a 50-mile option available for those who might not quite be ready to take the plunge. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience for seasoned runners!
