The town of Keystone is a wonderful Rocky Mountain treasure. There is something for everyone, from music and festivals to night skiing. While visitors flock to Keystone throughout the year, full-time residents enjoy having the beautiful scenery to themselves during the non-peak season. Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
There are plenty of exciting places to dine and shop in Keystone for the whole family. Stop by Kickapoo Tavern apres-ski; a local favorite since 1995, the tavern is located in River Run Village and serves up delicious burgers and Mexican food. You also can’t go wrong with Montezuma Roadhouse, an American restaurant that features a great happy hour with tasty appetizers. Finally, there’s Snake River Steakhouse, a restaurant and bar that often features live music performances. This Keystone staple is known for its tasty seafood and steaks with a kids’ menu that your younger family members are sure to love.
The majority of Keystone's shops are in River Run, but there are a handful in Lakeside Village and the Mountain House base area as well. Bath and Body Works, Calvin Klein, Coach, Eddie Bauer, Harry & David, and many other well-known brands can be found at the Silverthorne Outlet Mall, which is only ten minutes away.
Things to Do
Keystone provides a wide range of winter and summer activities for the entire family. The renowned Keystone Ski Resort is the perfect place to enjoy winter sports; featuring three stunning mountains and five bowls, this is a dream destination for skiers. Throughout the winter, visitors to the resort can enjoy night skiing, skating on the five-acre lake, and festive sleigh rides. As the weather warms up, explore hundreds of miles of mountain biking trails and use the lift access for scenic hiking.
In the spring, the Keystone Ski Resort’s famed golf courses open up. Here, avid golfers can enjoy two distinct styles of play on either the River Course and Keystone Ranch. You’ll have the time of your life golfing against a gorgeous mountain backdrop!
During the summer, there are plenty of exciting events happening in Keystone. The Mountain Town Music Series in River Run Village is perfect for the whole family, featuring performances outdoors in the sunshine. There are a number of other festivals held in Keystone throughout the summer, including the Bacon and Bourbon Festival, the Wine and Jazz Festival, the River Run Village Art Festival, and the Bluegrass & Beer Festival.
