The local lifestyle in Blue River is slightly rural. While only minutes down the road from bustling Breckenridge, Blue River remains a quiet and calm little town environment. The only action that happens here is the frequent, and sometimes costly, interactions with local wildlife such as bear and moose. 

Things To Do

When you’re not looking at Blue River homes for sale, fly fishing along the Blue River is another common outdoor activity. However, hiking plays a close second. Numerous mountain trails line the perimeter of Blue River and provide access to the steep and wondrous beauties that loom over Blue River. In the fall, the changing of the Aspen leaves is always spectacular along Highway 9 coming out of Breckenridge into Blue River.
